Parallel Bars

Application

Parallel bars are often used in water-based rehabilitation to help patients improve their balance, strength, and coordination. They provide a stable surface for patients to hold onto while walking or performing other exercises in the pool.

Patients who have difficulty walking or standing on land due to injuries, disabilities or conditions such as stroke, can use parallel bars in the water to practice walking or stepping movements with less weight-bearing stress on the joints and improved stability. The buoyancy of the water also helps to reduce the risk of falls, allowing patients to feel more secure and confident in their movements.

Parallel bars can also be used to help patients improve their balance and coordination. By holding onto the bars while performing exercises, patients can work on maintaining their balance while moving through the water. This can help to improve overall balance and stability, which can be beneficial for patients who are recovering from injuries or disabilities.

Additionally, parallel bars can be used to increase strength and endurance by providing resistance and support for exercises such as arm curls, leg press and other strength training exercises.

Overall, parallel bars are a versatile and effective tool for water-based rehabilitation, helping patients to improve their balance, coordination, strength and endurance.
